Ghosts of Georgia Investigation report
On June 17th, 2011 GOGPI investigated claims of paranormal activity at a private residence in Ola GA. The activity reported at the private residence in Ola is as follows, a black shadow person seen in the upstairs office, sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. a dog toy was tossed into the sunroom, a few disembodied voices, a picture in the master bedroom is constantly being tilted, and strange noises that are not normal house noises.

Condition of the Home:
The house was 5 to 6 years old and was in good shape, no drafts from the windows and outside doors, the structure was sound, the utilities were in good working order. There were a few areas that the floor boards would creak but were not overly loud.
Equipment used by Investigators:
Cameras: Two Canon Rebel digital cameras and Four IR Video Cameras connected to a J2000 DVR.
EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII and K-II Meter.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder and an Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder and Olympus VN-4100PC.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer.

Findings:
GOGPI was contacted by the client to investigate the possible paranormal activity stated above. When we arrived we set up our DVR system with three infrared cameras at the most active areas. We then took temperature and EMF readings throughout the house for our base reading. There were no unusual temperature or EMF readings. During the investigation the temperature readings remained normal, the EMF readings were consistent except for an unexplained EMF spike near the couch in the basement while team 2 was investigating the area. They were unable to get the meter to spike again.
While in the master bedroom the Team 1 tried to get the picture to move by banging on the wall and jumping up and down on the floor but were unable to get the picture to tilt. While Team 1 was conducting an EVP session in the master bedroom the smell of flowers, Gardenias, were experienced by two investigators. The smell would be strong dissipate and then come back again. They check to see if the smell was coming from the Gardenias outside but it was not. Unable to find any source for the smell in the room and adjoining bathroom.
While Team 1 was upstairs in the office they checked one of the attic doors that reportedly opened on it’s own. We did find that you could close the door without it latching and it appeared to be closed and fastened. Opening a door in another part of the upstairs could have caused a draft that could have opened the door.
While Team 2 was in the basement and at the start of the EVP session the cabinet in a corner rattled, they were unable to find a cause, no one else was in the house. Also during the EVP session they heard footsteps coming from the dining room which was above them. As stated before no one else was in the house at that time.
While Team 3 conducted their EVP sessions they used the flashlight communication method and had one response, it was in the dining room. The flashlight did turn on as if answering questions and would cut off on demand. It appeared that they were in communication with the clients deceased brother by the answers they were getting. Un fortunately there were no abnormal meter readings, temperature reading, or K-II activity while the flashlight communication was going on to back up the communication.
The teams did record numerous EVP’s and the video caught an unusual light that would spin around go up then down and finally went up and out of sight. Upon closer examination we found that it wasn’t an insect, we saw no bug or insect features. It kept the same intensity of light throughout the entire time in was in view of the camera indicating it had it’s own energy. It is an anomaly that we are still studying to see if it was of natural causes but so far we haven’t come up with any explanation for a natural cause. There was nothing caught with the digital cameras.
With the reported activity by several people, the EVP’s, the possible anomaly on video, the flashlight communication, and the experiences by investigators we feel the house does have paranormal activity but not enough to say it is haunted. We would like to do a follow up to see if we can replicate some of the experiences that were experienced and be able to gather more paranormal evidence.

Larry:
My personal experience was just a few unexplained noises in the finished part of the basement near the bar.
Pat:
1. The flower smell in the bedroom.
2. The flashlight communication in the dining room which seemed to identify that the spirit was Sonny the wife’s deceased brother. It also appeared to indicate that he wanted his ashes spread and that his daughter knew where they needed to be spread.
Ed:
The only things that come to mind is the flower smell in the master bedroom and feeling cobwebs on my hand and arm while in the unfinished part of the basement, found no cobwebs in the area. I also witnessed the flashlight communication where we appeared to be communicating with the client’s brother, Sonny.
