Ghosts of Georgia Investigation report
On July 26, 2014, GOGPI investigated claims of paranormal activity in 3 apartment units in Marietta, GA. The activity reported at the locations are as follows: Client feels a strong presence, a couple of people have been touched. Last year clients daughter had ” Evil” scratched on the back side of her right shoulder. Occupants hear people whispering and no one around. Clients faves were shoved to the corner of the wall and hit the plug and knocked the power off the tv. The stereo has been known to come on by itself, dishes rattling in the drainer.

Cameras: Two Canon Rebel digital cameras and Four IR Video Cameras connected to a J2000 DVR.
EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII and K-II Meter.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder and an Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder and Olympus VN-4100PC.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer.
Condition of the apartments:
The building was built around one hundred years ago as a private residence. About 40 years ago it was converted into an apartment building consisting of three apartments. The structure is sound, the windows and doors are old and it’s possible for sound and drafts to come through. The utilities seemed in good working condition. We did smell a gas odor in the utility room where the water heater was, advised the client to have it checked.

Findings:
GOGPI was called in to investigate the above claims of activity. Base reading in the house, temperature normal for conditions, EMF were slightly high throughout the building and higher around the electrical equipment and electrical panels where they were higher, as expected.
We did not get anything in our pictures. We did capture a shadow in the video but nothing else. We also record numerous EVP’s. Some investigators had some personal experiences, see below.
With the claims of activity, personal experiences by the investigators, the EVP’s that were recorded we feel like there is paranormal activity in the apartments. While we were there we did not pick up any negative energy. We cannot say the apartment building is haunted without a follow up investigation to see if we can reproduce the claims of activity, personal experiences, and to gather more evidence of paranormal activity.

Personal Experience summaries from investigators on the investigation:
Ed – The only experience I had was smelling something sweet, like candy, for about a minute in apt. B while in the bedroom.
Pam – I got nauseated, felt chills and “odd” while in apt b. Later when Christie and I returned in a flashlight session, the flashlight was turned on when I asked if any spirit was there with us and then, the flashlight was turned off when we requested it to be.
Christie – I didn’t have any personal experiences.
Chris – I didn’t have any personal experiences
Larry – My only personal experience was in apt c, upstairs. I had the parabolic dish on, and when Chris moved the door to the attic space I heard a lady say hey.
Gretchen – Personal…I saw a figure walk from the left to the right of the porch at 10:05, right after Larry and Chris left Apt A and entered B. It vanished at Apt C’s door.
Sensitive: Felt very distracted in the homes during the walk through. Went out back. There was a woman who came through and feels like a mother. She is sweeping the floors. She has baked bread…everyday she bakes. She moves things when they are cluttered or out of place, unorganized. She says she is alone and she looks after the children here as she no longer has her children to care for. When I ask where they are she says with family. She hums sometimes. She is oblivious to the male here. She says she is alone here. There is a bridal bouquet bush out back. Then there is a male who comes across as grumpy or stern. He is in overalls and is barefooted. He knows we are only here temporarily. He says “Suit yourself.” when I say we are just visiting. I ask about his family and he turns his back to me and recites Psalm 85. I do not feel he is harmful, just not warm and seems to take on a “none of your business” attitude. He does say he does all the right things where others are concerned, but feels a little cheated in life. Things were always taken from him. . I ask how many are here and he says four. I ask who they are and he shrugs his shoulders and turns his back…he is done. There are several cats.
