Ghosts of Georgia Investigation report
On October 4, 2013, GOGPI investigated claims of paranormal activity at a private residence in Lawrenceville, GA. The activity reported at the house is as follows: Client’s bedroom and closet also daughters room is the most active. Voices coming from the closet, have been heard, when near, by each family member. It sounds like someone is kicking down the door when sleeping. When they go to the main level nothing is out of place. Client’s daughter sees a floating dark cloud over her bed often and once an eyeball, also a shadow figure standing next to her bed.The chair incident is when client’s alone watching TV in the bedroom, client’s recliner has slammed backwards to max level when client fell asleep in the chair. The closet light turns itself off. Client’s daughters left the house because they were too afraid to stay alone the other night. She called her sister and she said they both heard a mans demonic voice talking so they hung up. Daughter’s bf saw a grey figure a couple of months ago run from the closet to the sitting area in client’s bedroom as though it was hiding. They heard a loud noise in client’s closet and went up to check it out and so he is convinced that something is there that isn’t explainable.

Cameras: Two Canon Rebel digital cameras and Four IR Video Cameras connected to a J2000 DVR.
EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII and K-II Meter.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder and an Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder and Olympus VN-4100PC.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer.
Condition of the home:
The home was in good condition, structurally sound, the windows and door were tight with little to no draft, also very little noise coming in from outside. The utilities were in good shape and worked properly. The can lights in the kitchen gave off a high amount of EMF but other than that the wiring seemed fine.
Start Investigation 8:26 pm – End Investigation 1:30 am
Setting Up: Team had a very hard time getting cameras to work. Upstairs master bedroom and the stairs are the worst. Worked on set up for almost an hour. Could not get rooms to illuminate properly, cameras keep shutting off, cables not working and had to be changed out. Halfway through set up, we still had only 2 out of 5 cameras working. Gretchen finally moved the bullet camera from the upstairs master bedroom down stairs and got it to work once it was moved. Cannot find a camera that will work in the master bedroom. Eventually the team got the IR camera to work in the master but could only have a very small view. For the record, our team has never had camera difficulty like this during any set up. We have high quality equipment with very little failure.

Findings:
GOGPI was called in to investigate the above claims of activity. Base reading in the house were within normal limits, temperature normal for conditions, EMF were within normal reading, except around the electrical equipment and electrical panels where they were higher, as expected. We did record a high EMF readings from the light switch in the kitchen along with the can lights in the ceiling, we measured up to 38 miligause from the switch and 5.0 miligause about three feet down from the ceiling. The readings dropped when we turned off the lights but still remained above 1.0 miligause. We do not believe this is paranormal but probably cause by wiring in the wall.
We check out the recliner in the master bedroom and found the mechanism’s to be tight and hard to push back eliminating any accidental inclination with the chair, it has to be physically push back to get it to recline.
We did not get anything in our pictures but did have some interesting things show up in the video, and we did record numerous EVP’s. Some of the investigators had some personal experiences, see below. Some of the experiences were the same as the claims.
With the claims of activity, personal experiences by the investigators, the EVP’s that were recorded along with the video anomalies we feel like there is paranormal activity in the house. We cannot say the house is haunted without a follow up investigation to see if we can reproduce the claims of activity, personal experiences, and to gather more evidence of paranormal activity.

Personal Experience summaries from investigators on the investigation:
Ed: The only experiences I had were seeing the cameras malfunction. When setting a camera in the master bedroom it did not work but the IR illuminator did. Switched out cameras, same thing happened to the second camera, switched it out with a third camera and it worked. Everything was checked from cables to connection on all cameras with no explanation as why they failed. The first camera we tried we used in a different location and it worked fine. The other experience was when we had packed up almost all of our equipment when the cell sensor on the stair railing went off and continued to flash for several minutes, it never went off the entire time of the investigation. It stopped the second Gretchen took out her camera to take a picture.
Like Beth I saw the KII and Mel meter going off to some of our questions in the master bedroom. I also felt that it was someone other than the client’s father.
Beth: Personal experiences – witnessed all the camera malfunctions and battery drainage in one cell censor. Also witnessed a cell censor going off at the very end after all cameras were put up. When Gretchen pulled her phone out to try and record it, the censor stopped. It had been going off for a long time almost like it was laughing at us. At one point it seemed like Ed and I were having conversation using the KII and MelMeter in the Master bedroom. The way the answers were being delivered through the use of lights on the meter, the spirit acted like it was the client’s father, but my psychic impressions feel like it was someone else. I think the spirit was trying to trick us and throw us off track.
Psychic Impressions – As we were setting up, the client’s father was present and sitting in the front room. I believe he did his best to help us with the camera problems. I believe whole heartily that he is the one that got us to the home to investigate as I feel there is something else there besides her mom and dad. It’s not just the client’s father. I also felt like whatever was there did not want us to record him/her on camera in any way and would do whatever it could to stop it from happening.
Gretchen: Heard what I thought was a child’s voice on the stairs while I was setting up the camera at the base of the stairs. It was sing songy in nature. I also experienced the cell sensor laughing at us 🙂 and the camera not working in the master bedroom…also in the office upstairs, I felt the cameras were malfunctioning over anything I could normally explain. Besides the bullet camera worked fine when I set it up downstairs. It is funny how things worked out when we asked James to help. Heard a thump that sounded loud and on the outside wall while Larry and I were in the downstairs bedroom. It was heard by the investigators at base, but to them it sounded like it came from the wall where the TV was.
Upon entering the home the study (the room on the left as you enter through the front door was buzzing with energy.) I told Ed the room was energetic and he asked me if I felt it centered in any one part of the room. It was the red chair in the far corner. I could see and feel a solid energy there, It did not feel negative or positive to me, was just there and it was present- very present. Beth shared her experience with me with connecting with the client’s father on the prelim. I also almost picked him out in a picture I pointed to the man next to him, there were a lot of men in the picture. I think the energy persisted throughout our set up. I also had a very uneasy feeling in the master closet and the master bedroom while we were setting up. It felt better during my sweep, it felt lighter. The green chair in the master is not my favorite piece of furniture. I felt the uneasiness from the bedroom was centered around the area the chair is in and whatever energy was there was not interested in being taped.
Larry: My personal experiences were the same as ED’s. The cell sensor was weird that it did not go off till the DVR was shut off.
