Ghosts of Georgia Investigation report
On October 1st, 2011 GOGPI investigated claims of paranormal activity at a private residence in Grantville, GA. The activity reported at the private residence in Grantville is as follows: Shadows, Apparitions, Hot spots, rappping and knocking, doors shuting, , door knobs jiggling, sudden and unusual mood changes with everyone in the home, sickness, door knobs jiggling, grandmother saw a man sitting on the couch and he turned his head to look at her and didn’t say a word. Everyone in the house is more irritable and sad, when walking into a certain room you can feel a hot spot at times. When sleeping at night you can feel someone sitting on the bed. Whatever is in this house has physically hurt 2 men by pushing them down and not allowing them to breathe.

Condition of the Home:
The home was in good shape structurally sound, the windows and doors were well insulated with no drafts. All the utilities were in good working order.
Equipment used by Investigators:
Cameras: Two Canon Rebel digital cameras and Four IR Video Cameras connected to a J2000 DVR.
EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII and K-II Meter.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder and an Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder and Olympus VN-4100PC.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer.

End of Investigation
Findings:
We were called in to investigate the above mentioned claims of paranormal activity. We took base readings of both the temperature and EMF. They were within normal ranges except for the EMF which was high in the places you would expect it to be, around appliances, wiring, etc.
We did not capture any video evidence on our infrared system or hand held cameras nor did we capture anything in our digital pictures. We did capture some audio EVP’s. We all had some personal experiences that we could not explain
With just the EVP’s and a couple personal experiences we cannot say that the home is haunted. With the clients stories of activity and what we captured on the investigation we feel there is activity in the home but does not appear to be harmful. We recommend that if the activity persists or worsens that the client calls us back in to do a follow up investigation to see if we can find for answers as to what may be going on.

Personal Experience summaries from investigators on the investigation:
Larry:
My personal experiences from grantville were as follows. During our first sweep we were in the master bedroom and I was sitting on the bed when the 3 of us heard a scratching noise that came from my left side, there was a small bag next to me that when scratched by Christine made the same sound. Then while we were in the grandmothers room and I was putting the EMF detector on the floor it sounded like some one shuffling around in the hallway, all 3 of us were in the bedroom. Then after the first sweep we were getting ready to take a break I said I was going to step outside then I heard what I thought was Ed saying something from the back bedroom, when I asked Ed where he was to see if he needed help he said I’m right here and he was in the living room.
Ed:
While we were in the son’s room doing an EVP session I heard what sounded like a board squeak in the hallway like someone took a step and the floor board squeaked, there were no floor boards the house is built on a concrete slab. While in the living room near the hallway I heard a voice coming from the hallway, there were no investigators in the hallway and cannot explain where the voice came from. Larry heard the voice at the same time and he was in the kitchen/dining area.
Christine:
While on our initial walk through, I was coming out of the master bedroom and right before I reached the foot of the bed, something touched me. It felt as if a finger was running down my chest right between my breast. I was touched 3 more times after that as well, twice on my lower arm, and once on my leg. One of the times on my arm and the one on my leg felt like pinches (these happened in the living room), in fact the one on my leg left a small mark, but by the time I showed it to Larry and Ed, it was already going away where they said that they really couldn’t see it.
I also heard the same thing that Larry & Ed heard in the master bedroom that sounded as if something was scratching the bag between me and Larry. I also saw a light moving in the hallway.
In the son’s bedroom, regardless it was the same part of the hall, I saw a shadow figure in the doorway. It was small in size, low to the ground. Ed ask me if like it were crouching, and I said yes. Also while in the son’s bedroom, we heard a noise that sounded like Velcro pulling apart, Larry thought it was his stomach, Ed and I questioned it because it definitely did not sound like natural stomach noises. Larry said that he did not feel his stomach make that noise, but it sounded like it was right beside him. While doing the final walk through to make sure we had collected all of our equipment, I was in the master bedroom, I thought I had seen one of the guys going into the son’s bedroom, upon leaving the master bedroom, I thought Larry started coming out of the son’s bedroom at the same time, but then Larry came out of the Grandma’s room, so I was thinking that it must have been Ed then, because what I saw was out of the corner of my eye and I was one step ahead, but it wasn’t Ed either because when Larry and I rounded the corner to the living room, there stood Ed. I was so baffled because I knew I had seen someone and thought it was funny that we all came through a door at the same time, and I was even going to comment on that to Ed and Larry until I realized it wasn’t either of them. Keep in mind that also we were turning off lights, so at this point, I had already turned off the master bedroom light, and the son’s bedroom light was turned off also, so it was dark with a light glow from the living room light coming down the hallway.
