Ghosts of Georgia Investigation report
On April 19th, 2014, GOGPI investigated claims of paranormal activity in a restaurant/bar in Lilburn, GA. The activity reported at the restaurant is as follows: Apparitions, shadow figures, items being moved around and knock off shelves, unexplained noises, one of the client’s daughter had a unexplained round mark on her back that felt like it was burning.

Cameras: Two Canon Rebel digital cameras and Four IR Video Cameras connected to a J2000 DVR.
EMF Meters: Electro Sensor EMF Meter, Cell Sensor, Digital EMF Detectors, Mel-8704R-KII and K-II Meter.
Audio Recorders: Sony P210 digital voice recorder and an Olympus D-10 digital voice recorder and Olympus VN-4100PC.
Thermometers: Cen-Tech mini non-contact infrared digital thermometer and an Omega HH68K ambient thermometer.
Condition of the business:
The building was built circa 1920’s and was in good shape structurally with little draft coming through the windows and doors, all utilities were working properly and were up to date. There was some remodeling to the inside approximately 10 months prior to the investigation.

Findings:
GOGPI was called in to investigate the above claims of activity. Base reading in the business were within normal limits, temperature normal for conditions, EMF were within normal reading, except in the half of the kitchen around the electrical equipment where they were higher ranging from 1.5- 64.5 miligause which is in the extremely high range.
We did not get anything in our pictures or video but we did record numerous EVP’s. All of the investigators had some personal experiences, see below. Some of the investigators personal experiences verified some of the claims of activity.
With the claims of activity, personal experiences by the investigators, the EVP’s that were recorded we feel like there is paranormal activity in the business and it is haunted. We feel that there are several different spirits there and could be some residual energy as well. Most of the activity seems benign at this time but there seemed to be some malicious activity aimed at two people, which warrants further investigation to determine why this occurred.

Personal experience:
When we were first started setting up cameras, I saw a small, dark, animal, like shadow come out in front of the door (along the floor) by the office and then go back in or out of the shot. It was not recorded. Heard some thumping/banging like sound off in kitchen while investigating with Chris and Christie. (We all heard it) – heard a strange loud sound outside of office up in the ceiling area while on my round with Chris and Christie. (We all heard it) – never found source of either of the sounds. While at base we all heard a weird sound behind us, behind the counter, near the left of the wall. While at base, I watched the owner freezing cold and then discover she got scratched on her back.
Psychic impressions – Hit on several areas of energy and what I thought were creepy areas. One was the bathroom area and particular, the ladies restroom. Three different corners in the kitchen with the one near the waffle irons by the door leading into the restaurant being the most creepy. Also felt uncomfortable in the back hall going toward the office. During my last EVP session I started having a psychic conversation with a spirit who was messing with me. It was like he didn’t want to talk EVP style and asked me to have a private conversation with him. He would not be straight up with his answers. I felt like he was trying to get to the owner by asking me questions. I hope some audible answers will be on the recorder even though it was clear he didn’t want to talk in the recorder.
Gretchen:
Personal Experiences.- Heard a loud thump near the office while sitting at the dining room table in the corner nearest the office. It was during the Ghost box session so I am hoping it was loud enough to make the recordings. Possibly the ice machine. I also saw a figure (solid walk from the left to the right) in the opening to the kitchen and the drink room/ the office, the figure was in the kitchen. When I walked in the kitchen I got two K2 hits and could not recreate it. Rempod went off about 4 seconds when Olivia and I were at the dining room table. It never happened again while we were there or on command. I also witnessed the scratches on Dawns Back after she complained of a burning on her back. This is the first time I experienced this. I felt fear at the bar during a ghost Box session with Ed.
Sensitive Impression – My first impression is I am reminded of a previous investigation…I cannot pinpoint the reason. Please excuse these as they are character oriented and I am writing what I sensed. I got a male maybe in his 40-50s. He was back by the office. He is tall and wears an apron. He smiles a lot. I see the building as a merchantile store. A General Store type place. He is bald on top with hair on the sides. He is work oriented. When I ask for a name I get Hank/Henry/ Harry.
There is also a woman and she is younger in her 30’s perhaps. I get the name Joyce. She orders for the store, especially cloth/ clothing. She also sews and designs hats. She is good with the books and writes beautifully which secures her the job in the store. She is also very pretty (reddish hair) and draws quite the crowd there.
There is a dominant energy in the kitchen. “He” is the boss a bully somewhat. He feels like he is more recent in time. He moves things and I feel he has made himself apparent to an African American male in the kitchen now. Not sure the true gender of him, just feels strong and dominant.
I also feel as if there is a crowd around the bar. I specifically get a Hobo who rides the trains and has found a liking to the place. I do not get a name but he reminds me of the character, Smokey Lonesome, from Fried Green Tomatoes. I did not get a fearful feeling of the place… there is so much going on.
Larry:
My only personal experience was while at base during the first sweep, I heard a loud noise behind us, could not find what made the noise
Christie:
I heard a loud noise behind us while at base.
While investigating in the bar area I heard what sounded like and felt like a table was being shuffled across the floor.
Chris:
While at base I heard a noise come from behind the counter.
Christie, Beth and me was investigating the office and we heard a noise that sounded like it came from above us so I stepped out to look but couldn’t find anything. Also while investigating at the big round table in the corner I heard a loud thump like something was dropped on the floor. I went to see if anything had fallen but couldn’t find anything out of place. After that my attention kept being drawn toward the kitchen area I never saw anything but when I would look away something would just make me look back in there.
Ed:
While conducting an EVP session in the corner of the dining room I heard a loud noise as if something fell in the room behind us near the office. Donna checked the room and found nothing out of place. While sitting at base our client was sitting next to me and stated that she felt really cold and then stated she felt a burning on her back. Upon examination I witnessed three long scratch marks on her back that had whelped up.
